Saidscape Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 18, 2026Last Updated: September 24, 2026

1. Introduction

Saidscape™ ("Saidscape," "we," "our," or "us") is a product operated by Desert Brick Software LLC, an Arizona limited liability company.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through Saidscape.com and the Saidscape service, how we use and share that information, how long we retain it, and the choices available to customers, purchasers, designated recipients, event guests, vendors, and other users.

Saidscape is currently offered only in the United States.

2. About Saidscape

Saidscape allows event organizers to collect handwritten messages from their guests and, for certain Saidscape event types, optional photographs from contributors, arrange selected messages and photographs into a personalized design, and order a custom physical keepsake.

Customers may also receive digital copies of their approved design and guest-message archive.

  • the Saidscape website;
  • customer checkout;
  • event guest capture pages;
  • customer editor pages;
  • vendor and partner forms; and
  • administrative and fulfillment systems.

The information collected depends on which parts of Saidscape you use.

3. Information We Collect

Information Provided by Customers

When purchasing or using Saidscape, customers may provide information including:

  • name;
  • email address;
  • recipient email address, when provided for a gift or recipient-directed order;
  • gift, surprise-gift, or other access-routing selections, when applicable;
  • recipient or couple names;
  • event date;
  • event information;
  • vendor or referral code, if applicable;
  • product and design selections;
  • photographs uploaded to the Saidscape editor;
  • design layouts and customization choices;
  • final-design approval acknowledgements; and
  • other information voluntarily provided through the service.

Shipping information, including the recipient name and U.S. shipping address, is collected during Stripe-hosted checkout and provided to Saidscape for order fulfillment and administration.

Saidscape does not currently collect a customer telephone number through its standard checkout process.

Information Provided About Recipients and Other People

A purchaser may buy Saidscape for another person and provide information about that designated recipient, including the recipient's name, email address, event or retirement date, and related order or access-routing information. In employer-purchased or other gift purchases, the purchaser and recipient may be different people. We use this information to create and administer the Saidscape, route capture and editor access, communicate about the order, and fulfill the product.

Information Provided by Event Guests

Guests using a Saidscape event capture page may provide:

  • a handwritten message;
  • a guest name, if the guest chooses to provide one; and
  • an optional photograph, where photo contribution is enabled for the applicable Saidscape event type.

Providing a guest name is optional. Where photo contribution is enabled, providing a photograph is also optional.

Saidscape does not require event guests to create an account or provide an email address or telephone number.

Handwritten messages are stored as digital stroke information that allows Saidscape to reproduce the handwriting as part of the customer's design and guest-message archive.

Customer Photographs

Customers may upload photographs through their private Saidscape editor.

For certain Saidscape event types, guests or contributors may also upload an optional photograph through the event capture page. These photographs are processed as event content and may be made available to the designated recipient through the Saidscape editor.

Uploaded photographs, whether provided through the editor or an enabled capture page, may include embedded metadata contained in the original file. Saidscape does not currently guarantee removal of metadata, including EXIF metadata, from uploaded photographs.

Anyone uploading a photograph should review it before upload and should avoid uploading information they do not want processed as part of the applicable Saidscape.

Payment and Transaction Information

Payments are processed using Stripe-hosted checkout.

Stripe may collect payment-card information, billing or payment information, shipping information, and other information necessary to process the transaction.

Saidscape does not receive or store full payment-card numbers or card security codes.

Saidscape may receive and retain transaction-related information from Stripe, including:

  • Stripe checkout identifiers;
  • payment identifiers;
  • amount paid;
  • subtotal and tax information;
  • currency;
  • payment status;
  • shipping information; and
  • refund or dispute information, when applicable.

Vendor and Partner Information

Individuals or businesses interested in Saidscape's vendor or partner programs may provide information including:

  • business name;
  • contact name;
  • email address;
  • telephone number;
  • website or social-media profile;
  • business type;
  • city;
  • state; and
  • referral or partner information.

Technical and Analytics Information

Saidscape uses Google Analytics 4 ("GA4") on portions of Saidscape.com.

Depending on the page visited and Google's technologies and settings, analytics information may include information such as:

  • pages visited;
  • page URLs;
  • referring information;
  • browser or device information;
  • approximate location derived from network information;
  • timestamps;
  • analytics identifiers; and
  • cookies or similar identifiers used by Google Analytics.

Saidscape currently uses GA4 to record page-view analytics on selected public pages. The GA4 software may load on additional Saidscape pages even where Saidscape does not intentionally send a custom page-view event.

Saidscape's guest-capture application does not intentionally store a guest's IP address, user-agent string, or device identifier in Saidscape's application database as part of a guest submission.

Hosting, analytics, payment, security, and infrastructure providers may independently process technical information in connection with providing their services.

4. Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies

Saidscape and its service providers may use cookies and browser-storage technologies.

  • Google Analytics cookies and similar technologies;
  • an administrative authentication cookie;
  • session storage used for limited editor-interface preferences; and
  • IndexedDB storage used to temporarily queue guest submissions on a device when necessary for reliable submission.

Offline guest submissions stored in IndexedDB may include the guest name, handwritten message data, submission timestamps, retry information, and a fingerprint associated with the applicable event-access token.

Successfully transmitted offline submissions are removed from Saidscape's local offline queue.

Saidscape does not currently use Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google Ads remarketing tags, or similar advertising pixels in the Saidscape application.

Saidscape does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals in a manner that changes the operation of the service. Third-party analytics providers may collect information over time as described in their own privacy practices and subject to their available privacy controls.

5. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

We do not sell personal information for money.

6. Event Guest Information

Saidscape processes guest messages and, where enabled, contributor photographs for the event organizer or designated recipient associated with the applicable Saidscape event.

A guest's handwritten message and optional name may be viewed by the event organizer or designated recipient through the Saidscape editor and may be incorporated into:

  • the personalized Saidscape design;
  • the physical keepsake;
  • the customer's digital design copy; and
  • the customer's guest-message archive.

Where photo contribution is enabled, a guest's optional photograph may be viewed by the event organizer or designated recipient through the Saidscape editor and may be incorporated into the personalized Saidscape design, physical keepsake, and digital design copy. Guest photographs are not necessarily included in the guest-message archive.

Guest submissions are not made publicly available through Saidscape and are not displayed to other event guests through the capture page.

Event organizers may choose not to include a particular guest message in the final physical design. Excluding a message from the design does not necessarily cause immediate deletion of the underlying submission while the event remains active.

7. Photographs and Other Customer Content

Customers and, where enabled, event contributors may upload photographs through Saidscape. Customers may also create and customize designs through the Saidscape editor.

Photographs uploaded by customers or contributors are stored in private storage and are made available through controlled access mechanisms, such as temporary signed URLs.

Each person who uploads a photograph or other content is responsible for ensuring they have the necessary rights and permissions to submit and use that content through Saidscape.

Uploaded photographs may contain metadata that Saidscape does not remove.

8. Payments

Saidscape uses Stripe to process customer payments and calculate applicable taxes.

Payment-card information is entered into Stripe-hosted payment interfaces and is processed by Stripe.

Saidscape does not receive or store full card numbers or card security codes.

Stripe may provide Saidscape with transaction, payment, shipping, tax, refund, and dispute information necessary to administer the order.

Stripe processes information according to its own privacy practices.

9. Information Sharing

We may share information with service providers where reasonably necessary to operate Saidscape.

  • Vercel, for website and application hosting and infrastructure;
  • Supabase, for database and private file-storage infrastructure;
  • Stripe, for payment processing, checkout, shipping-information collection, and tax calculation;
  • Resend, for transactional and operational email delivery;
  • Google Analytics, for website analytics; and
  • Prodigi, our physical-product fulfillment provider, when information is provided as necessary to manufacture and fulfill a customer order.

Information provided to a fulfillment provider may include information reasonably necessary to manufacture and deliver the customer's product, such as approved production artwork, product configuration, recipient name, shipping address, and order information.

We may also disclose information:

  • when required by law, subpoena, court order, or other lawful process;
  • when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or unlawful activity;
  • when reasonably necessary to protect Saidscape, Desert Brick Software LLC, our users, or others;
  • to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; or
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction.

Service providers may use their own subprocessors or infrastructure providers in providing their services.

10. Data Retention

Saidscape seeks to retain personal information and customer content only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it is maintained.

Event and Customer Content

Event content may include:

  • guest submissions;
  • guest names;
  • uploaded photographs;
  • editable designs;
  • working design information;
  • guest-message archive files; and
  • related event materials.

We generally retain this information while necessary to provide the Saidscape service, create and fulfill the customer's personalized product, deliver digital materials, provide customer support, and address fulfillment or product issues.

After event content is no longer reasonably necessary for these purposes, it may be deleted through manual or automated processes.

Deletion may not occur immediately when an order is delivered or an event is completed.

Business and Legal Records

Certain information may be retained for a longer period where reasonably necessary for legitimate business, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or legal purposes.

Such records may include:

  • customer and order information;
  • purchaser and designated-recipient information and gift-routing records;
  • shipping information;
  • payment, tax, refund, and dispute records;
  • order and fulfillment history;
  • final-design approval records;
  • the approval language and version presented to the customer;
  • approval timestamps;
  • product configuration information;
  • technical hashes or other evidence identifying the approved production file; and
  • a copy of the final artwork approved by the customer.

Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the information and the reason it is retained.

Temporary event content and permanent or longer-term business records may therefore have different retention periods.

Backups and Service Providers

Deletion from Saidscape's active systems may not result in immediate deletion from temporary backups, caches, logs, or third-party systems where information is retained for limited operational, security, legal, or disaster-recovery purposes.

11. Access Links and Security

Saidscape uses unique capability links to provide access to event capture and editing functions.

A capture link may permit a person possessing that link to view limited event information and submit a guest message and, where enabled for the applicable Saidscape event type, an optional photograph.

An editor link may permit a person possessing that link to access and modify the associated Saidscape event, including guest submissions, photographs, designs, and final-approval functionality.

For gift purchases, the purchaser and designated recipient may be different people. Editor access is intended for the designated recipient who will create, review, and approve the final design. The purchaser does not automatically receive editor access merely because the purchaser paid for the order. For surprise gifts, access links and service communications may be routed differently before and after the applicable event or retirement date according to the selected gift option.

Customers are responsible for safeguarding editor and event links and for sharing them only with appropriate persons.

Saidscape uses technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including private file storage, token-based access controls, restricted administrative access, and other security measures.

However, no online system, transmission method, or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

12. Children's Privacy

Saidscape is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13.

We do not ask event guests to provide their age and do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13.

If we learn that personal information from a child under 13 has been submitted to Saidscape in circumstances requiring its removal, we will take reasonable steps to locate and delete the information as required by applicable law.

A parent or legal guardian who believes that information concerning a child under 13 has been submitted to Saidscape may contact us at legal@desertbricksoftware.com.

Please provide enough information for us to reasonably identify the applicable event and submission. We may request additional information where reasonably necessary to locate the information or verify the request.

13. Privacy Requests

Depending on your jurisdiction and applicable law, you may have rights concerning personal information maintained by Saidscape.

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with you.

We may need to verify a request before acting on it and may retain information where permitted or required by law, including information reasonably necessary to maintain transaction records, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, or establish or defend legal claims.

Privacy requests may be sent to: legal@desertbricksoftware.com

14. Third-Party Websites and Services

Saidscape may interact with or link to third-party websites and services.

Those third parties operate under their own terms and privacy practices. Desert Brick Software LLC is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties except to the extent required by applicable law.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Saidscape, our business practices, service providers, or applicable law.

When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

Where required by applicable law, we may provide additional notice of material changes.
